I really didn't want to post anything, everything looks so dull around me

didn't want to darken my blog world too, but because it is my Blogoversery I had to squeeze some words. I felt that it is like a duty to me, oh well Happy Blogoversery anyway! :/

So I bought few more things

-Distress Ink in Black Soot

-2 punches

-Tim Holtz mini compass mask: This thing is great

-Music sheet clear stamp from KaiserCraft : a bit long for my acrylic block but still I can use it

-Ranger mini Glossy accent, and when they say mini it is REALLY ABSOLUTELY mini, I guess I bought the sample not for resale one :s

-Ranger Perfect Pearls in red

-Ranger Embossing pen in white and black: I so love them

-Paper Embossing tool in a heart shape

-Encore Ultimate metallic ink in purple

and more and more patterned paper, can't say no to them

I made this small notebook with a tag as a cover page, I am happy with it, it looks much better than in pictures. Used the embossing pen to make the dots since I don't have polka dot stamp.

And tried the compass mask, loved it!! and again it looks better than in pictures.

I guess I will be buying more masks, they are fun to use!

I have just finished reading The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. It has been long since I last read something. I can say that I had difficulties with this novel. I was lost most of the times, I had to refocus again and again until I get the idea of what is happening. Too many words I didn't understand and had to refer to some notes on the net so I can get along with the plot

. First, the characters were a bit confusing, their names and the too much details of everything. Well, it is all about the small things, small details but still I was lost. There were times when I really wanted to stop and just change the novel but I forced myself to continue and lucky I did. All in all, I loved it, loved the twins even more, how can someone stop talking all of a sudden?!

I loved this passage from chapter 12:

"The secret of the Great Stories is that they have no secrets. The Great Stories are the ones you have heard and want to hear again. The ones you can enter anywhere and inhabit comfortably. They don’t deceive you with thrills and trick endings. They don’t surprise you with the unforeseen. They are as familiar as the house you live in. Or the smell of your lover’s skin. You know how they end, yet you listen as though you don’t. In the way that although you know that one day you will die, you live as though you won’t. In the Great Stories you know who lives, who dies, who finds love, who doesn’t. And yet you want to know again. That is their mystery and magic."

My next novel would be The Immigrant by Manju Kapur

Combine them in to your egg sandwich and you will get a masterpiece

Add scallion, tomato, lettuce, lemon, pepper, and a bit of mayonnaise

Spread the ingredients on you whole wheat bread toast or any of your favorite

And viola!!

Another 5ababees..

So, I have been saving myself some boredom

and got my hands dirty, literally

this ink does not come out by only washing my hands

I have to use a pumice stone.

Anyway, I said before that I was not happy with the ink applicator I got last time so I had to but the foam one. It is much easier to use those.

This is my latest tags

which turned out pretty OK, I like them actually the got the vintage look I guess.

Now I know how much easier to use stamps, instead of me printing things and sticking them.

The good stamps are quit expensive

but I know myself I will be getting them soon

and yeah the big paper punches are also on my to buy list.

This is a mini tag book or " tiny Stocking Stuffer mini" as what Laura called it in her post

and from there I got the idea

Mine is not finished and with a totally different look

I wanted so badly to use this patterned paper.

I have seen some videos on Youtube showing a cheap way to get the crackle paint look, since I did not have any crackle paint so I tried it.

I did it by coating the tag first with white craft glue, somehow a thick coat and then before it dries I coated it with a layer of thick acrylic paint, then dried it with the heat gun.

This is what I got!!

It is not suppose to look like this, as what I have seen others making, because I got

the waxy- candle-y look.

I like it though.

Have you ever went into a movie and when the movie begins you start to think, this is not what I choose?

Yesterday we (my sister and I) went into a THAI movie without realizing it is THAI.

We were so desperate to watch something , we had 2 hours to spend and the only thing we thought of is a movie.

Unfortunately, nothing good was 'on showing' so we just asked them on the counter to give us a horror movie.

Luckily there was translation. The movie was called Death Place.

I hate Thai movies, and I so hate what we had to watch that I thought of leaving the moment it started but we already paid for that and plus we had nothing to do, so we sticked to our seats.

I normally check if it is an ENG movie or not but this time I don't know what happened to me.

One hour and a half of total boredom and disgustment (is it even a word?)

Did I mention that the cinema was almost empty, there were only few of us in the back seats and the hall was so small, 5 raws?

Seriously, I should have noticed that!!

and I would have, only if I stayed at home.

They came with my things and there was no one to receive them.

How lucky I am!

Have to wait till Saturday for them to deliver the things again.

Yesterday I started reading Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict by Laurie Viera Rigle since I felt bored with Mitch Albom's Have a little Faith.

I started giving interest to Scrap-booking and stamping, It is so much fun.

Though I still don't have all the tools but I'm building my empire slowly

bought few things and still have a loooong way to go

As I was searching for shops that sells scrapbook materials I came through this online shop, based in Malaysia.

I can say I'm pretty happy with it since I started shopping there.

My first online shopping experience!!!

I bought few scrapbook papers and today I received them.

I'm really satisfied with what I got.

My next goal is to collect Tim Holts distressing inks, I think there are 36 out there.

Something to keep me busy!

Tuesdays with Morrie

As I was searching in YouTube for something about Have a Little Faith, well I don't know what I was looking for, I came through the movie on Tuesdays with Morrie. I have read the book long time ago but I don't know why I didn't bother to watch the movie.

I have to admit it, I have never ever cried on a movie like I did on this one. I just could not help it and felt like hugging Morrie, I didn't want him to die.

I don't know, I might be too emotional here but seriously I loved Morrie, whenever he shed a tear, I cried like a river :( I just can't help seeing old people cry, it tears my heart apart.

To me, death is always hard to imagine happening to those I love than to me. Whenever these thoughts visit me, I shake my head so hard wanting them to fly and try my best not to think about it.

"The truth is . . . once you learn how to die, you learn how to live."

I guess I have not learned anything yet !!

It has been a while since I updated my reading list. It took me a while to finish Another Hour on a Sunday Morning. It would make a good research project on the character David, this is what I told myself while reading. Though he is not the narrator, we know him through his sister.

I cried on the last part, when she was telling us on how David died and how she could not get over it. I just can't imagine losing someone I love, I don't know what would I do. The thought of it makes me go crazy.

May God bless and protect those who are dear to me.

I know I still have some novels around to finish, but I had to buy Mitch Albom's Have a Little Faith. And Even though it is not on my buy list, I just grabbed it and bought it and this is what I'm reading now.

My brother bought me 2 new novels just today, he just grabbed them, they were on sale :D

The first one is Sophie Kinsella's Shapaholic Abroad which continues the story of Confession of a Shopaholic.

The Second one is While My Sister Sleeps by Barbara Delinksy.

They all came to me, memories from the past.

They crawled their way into my mind and haunted the few hours I had.

They kept calling me again and again as I waited in silence staring back at them.

I longed to be with them, I longed to be young again.

When I looked ahead of me into the future, I saw darkness and smelled fear.

I never thought that it would be that hard, never guessed that this would be the outcome .

I never wanted much, don't know if I ever wanted anything in the first place.

I only lived the days as they came, maybe a bit of a dream shattered here and there.

Or is it because I wanted a lot of things all at the same time that I ended with nothing ?!?

All I know for now is that there is this thing in me that needs to be explored, to give it the chance to be born again, to live again and never die!

How nice would it be if there was someone who can share my love for reading, no one around me seems to be interested. So I googled book clubs in Malaysia, and the only fine result I got was Bangsar Book Club. I then searched them on Facebook which gave me enough information. I might join them but still not sure, I guess I will give it a thought.

Yesterday I finished reading No Second Chance .

I love the way it is written, I love the way the author introduces his characters and the way the first person narrative speaks. I was so attached to it so I can know what happens in the end.

As I was returning the novel to the bookcase I was scanning the shelves for a new one to read,

and well as usual Brida was calling me but then I ignored it,

I'm still not ready for it.

I had to choose between The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks and Another Hour on a Sunday Morning by Julia Scheeres, and well, I choose the latter.

It is a real life story that took place a long time ago about a girl named Julia and her adopted brother David and their love for each other as they face difficulties through life.

Can't wait to start!

I just finished Chasing Harry Winston and I can say it was a page -turner.

I enjoyed it!

I love the way the author handles her three characters, giving each of them the great amount of attention into their life details.

My next novel will be either Brida by Paulo Coelho that I have already read almost 70 pages but stopped because I was reading too much Paulo and got bored then, or I can start with The Stolen Child by Keith Donohue.

I can say I'm more into The Stolen Child, though it is a different genre from what i have been reading these days. Brida will have to wait, I guess!

I can feel that I'm doing too much reading these days and I'm not complaining of course, I just wish it can last longer before my enthusiasm subsides!

PS. The book cover goes very well with the blog background :D

I don't even know why I'm saying this or even having a print screen, maybe for future reference or maybe I should just go and sleep :S

I finished reading The Interruption of Everything yesterday.
If I knew that it would be that good I would have read it before.
I think I will be reading more works of the author, she got some exciting novels out there starting with, well I can't decide, there are many of them and i need to read them all.

I guess I will be buying some of them soon :yai:

Now I'm in search for a good book, sadly I have finished the one's I have wanted to read for so long.

I do have some unread novels in the bookcase but they don't seem to be readable :D

I have started with this one

and then I lost interest, though the reviews on it promise a good read. Maybe it's only me and maybe I should start with it again.

Yeah maybe I should, because while writing this I remembered the characters and the story, and well it is quite interesting.

~ Well, Ramadan is almost over, and to be honest I can't wait for it to end, not because of fasting but because I'm way too lazy than i ever thought I would be in this month. My daily routine has changed 180 degree and I hate it.

~Few things are going to change in the coming weeks, and i don't know what else life has in store for me.

~Tomorrow I'm planning to do spring rolls, well not a big deal, they are easy, but well I just said it.

~I will start my running/jogging program after few days, hope I can keep with it.

~ Cannot wait to see little Ava, Clair's little angel, I'm so in need to hold a baby, and can't wait for that.

Just me, blabbling...

Things now seems to be getting on the right track, well I can't say everything,most of the things I guess.
-We have finished moving out to the new apartment which took us 11 days to shift, and that was pain in the neck. All these things to move and clean, I seriously don't know how we get to store all these things we never use.

-Mylaptop is back and better than before, the motherboard crashed and all the bad things were happening to it, luckily they fixed it and I had to format it so everything with it is just great, it is much faster now and I'm so in love with it, again.

-I don't know why these days I'm recording every detail of my life, with small notes on my
daily- calender- diary kind of thing.
And I do feel kinda lost if I happen to forget to jot down a detail of a day.
I guess there is no harm in this addiction, at the end I will get a good laugh when reading them later.

A grey iPod shuffle has been reported missing from home since October, 2009.

Nearly 10 months I have been mourning :p

Seriously, I was getting crazy, apart from it being cute, small and won't take a lot space in my bag, and well I did miss it during these 10 months,I just wanted to know where did my hands put it.

I did look around the house dillionz of times, under the bed, in every drawer, and in every group of ka7akeesh but with no luck.

Only yesterday, as I was cleaning the room, we are moving out so every bits of the house should be cleaned, so I had to move the bed and as I said I looked under the bed but it seems UNDER is not enough, it was under, under, under the bed.

Voila, I found it.

It's so funny how sometimes your thoughts might take you to places you never knew they existed in your mind before.

It's so funny how sometimes your mind think of something and your body moves so fast to carry on the thought without you realizing how stupid it might be. And the only thing you get in the end is a good laugh at yourself.

I have finished reading Life of Pi two days ago and I have to admit that I truly enjoyed it but not the first few chapters, maybe because I was lost in reading.
I was confused at the end, no knowing if the story he tell is correct or not but only after I read some notes on the novel I figured out the whole thing. I had to go few chapters before and read them again to understand more, maybe I was not concentrating enough...
The time I closed the last page of the novel, Twenties Girl was right in my hand, and well today I will finish it, I could not put it down.
I just love Sophie Kinsella!

It's too hard when you have so many novels and you feel like reading them all at once.
I said before that I started with Life of Pie which by the way I should have finished reading it by now but whenever I read a page I get stuck, and after that Brida

fell into my hands and read around 100 pages so far. Two books at the same time is quit hard, but what makes it worse is when you get 3 novels for your Bday that are so tempting, you feel like reading them.

Memories From The Past ~♥~ The Farmhouse

I was looking for the main video clip but could not find it!

I remember listening to this song with Areen (my cousin) during summer.

We used to go to my grandfather's farmhouse at least once a month during the weekends. We used to sit around the fire and sing, eat corn and drink tea.

We were kids, so when ever someone needed something they ask us to bring it and that really irritated us.

We played soccer in the field near the plum tree, we clean the ground first and smooth it from small rocks. Then we set the goals with two big rocks after my brother measures the distance between the two rocks and we end up fighting because one goal is smaller than the other.

My brother and my cousin were the captains so they get to choose who is on their team.

Sometimes the 'older ones' participates in the game, they play for few minutes and then leave to take their places in the conversation of the other 'older ones'.

I remember there was this tree with a metal chain hanged around it, two meters away from the field, where we were scared to get near to, and "we" here refers to us the small kids, because the big kids used to tell us scary stories about it.

The story goes like this: There was once a small girl who used to live on this farm, and one day they found her hanged from the tree by the chain and then they removed her but the chain was kept, and that they didn't know the criminal but they think it was ابو رجل مسلوخه و اتباعه من ابو عين مقلوعه و غيره

After the match, we had to take a shower and get dressed and we used to take turns and that took ages. We had to get cleaned because normally at night some relatives come to visit which again we had to be the 'older ones slaves'. I hated this part.

I can talk forever about those days, and how much we enjoyed every single moment except the above scenario :p

What made me write this was remembering Wael's song and how much we loved him, I and Areen and how we used to spend hours in that room listening to his album and memorizing the lyrics and everytime her brother (Laith) used to make a fuss about it because we 'girls' are not suppose to love a 'male' singer, he gets jealous!!

I want those days back :(

Buttons in life

This post by Ola made me think of the buttons that I wish life can have.

Like a silent button, when everything around you is just too noisy for your ears to endure or when you cant shut those next to you or ask them to lower their voices.

A pause button could be helpful when you are in a situation and have to take a quick decision and then you press that button to think it over carefully *should I or should I not*
It can be handy when you feel like slapping the one next to you so hardly!

I would like to have the Like button Ola talked about, yeah that would be great!

What if we can also have something like the msn status: Available, Away, Busy and Appear offline. But a button-like attached to your head or somewhere. You can use it when you are sitting with a bunch of people and you don't feel like talking so you press it and then you choose away or appear offline. and when you are busy you go for the busy option, and when you feel like talking you go for available. That would be cool!

I have been feeling lost these days in a way I can't describe.
It's like sitting in one place knowing that you should be somewhere else doing something.
I go through my to do list and there is nothing I should do that I don't know about.
I keep on having this feeling of guilt and eventually let it grow bigger and bigger while I'm redecorating my farm.

PS. i have reached level 70 two days ago, at last !!

Novels that I Won't Forget

I read this 10 Writers I'm Thankful For and it made me write this post but mine would beNovels that I Won't Forget.

There are novels I read just for the sake of reading and the moment I reach the final page, off they go. But there are novels that I keep thinking of for a certain reason.

1- The Kite Runner by khaled Hosseini because I did my final year project paper on it so I REALLY read it and besides everything in it is just great. Loved every bits of it! And can't forgetA Thousand Splendid Suns by the same author. I truly love his works!

2- Mitch Albom's three novels. Tuesdays with Morrie was the first one I read and then comes For One More Day and The Five People You Meet in Heaven (Loved this one the most)

3-Woman on the Other Shore by Mitsuyo Kakuta, this might sound silly, but I remember this novel everytime I clean the bathroom. The power of this novel is so strong that it keeps reminding me of itself. It's because of the main character Soyoko that works in cleaning houses and how she gives all she has for this job. She motivates me not to leave the bahroom only when its sparkling clean.

4- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I remember reading this book more that 6 times. It was the only novel I owned at that time when I was 14. I should have figured out my love for reading since that time!

5- Paulo Coelho's two books, The Devil and Miss Prym and The Witch of Portobello.Enjoyed every page.

6- The Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella. I love the simplicity of her thoughts and language, it's just so easy to live with the character. Though you get to know what will happen next after reading two books of the series. Her style is just the same in each book. But i have to admit that I loved them. I did make a mistake by reading one book before the other, i guess it was the Baby before Ties the Knots :p

My list won't end, so I will stop here. I'm reading now Life of Pi for Yann Martel and I'm sure if I read it before writing this post it would be in the list!

I'm a Farmville Fan

I have to addmit something, I'm not anti-Facebook anymore.
I have posted on April 2009 that I have deactivated my account and on August 2009 I acctivated it.
Two things made me go back to it, the first thing was Weddo. She wanted someone to encourage her to join this community and told her I would activate my account if she registered.
The second thing was the games that I am so addicted to. I was playing yoville first, yeah I know too childish but I was so into it and then started with Farmville. The best game till now, at least for me. Too much addiction runs in my blood for that game :p
Level 50 now and didn't get bored :ch: I do sometimes feel tired clicking every little square of land but this is the game and I'm playing it :yai: A big fan of Farmville!
So I guess my only reason to check facebook everyday is because of the games. Without them there would be no facebook life for me !

Yes, I'm back!
I can't forgive myself for what I have done..
Almost four months without a single post

Today the keys worked and I assure you that it will stop working after few days.

I just don't know what to do.

I have tried reinstalling the keyboard devices, made a BIOS update which all did not work.
